What is city Adult Learning Centre??

The City Adult Learning Centre (CALC) is a secondary school that offers an academic program for adult students, ages 21 and over, who wish to earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). We support all post secondary destinations: college, university, apprenticeship and workplace.

What is the student parking policy at City Adult Learning Centre??

Student Parking is very limited and will only be available at the back of the school for students with exceptional circumstances. Applications are taken in the first few days of each quad. City Adult Learning Centre (CALC) has replaced its paper student agenda with the “TDSB Connects” app.

What is the PSW literacy preparation program??

The Pre-PSW program provides opportunities for students to strengthen their literacy skills and prepare for success in the Personal Support Worker Program. This program is available at both the Ajax and Oshawa locations. Students register for the PSW literacy preparation through the Adult Upgrading Program.

How many senior credits are available for PSW certification??

All accepted applicants to the Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program are also eligible to earn six senior credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Upon successful completion of the program, applicants will also be certified as a qualified Personal Support Worker.
