Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) was established in 1985 with the goal of promoting literacy in Jefferson City and the surrounding communities. as well as increasing numbers of high school dropouts. volunteers to tutor and offering classes to help adults over the age of 16 and not currently enrolled in school to improve their reading ability.

Thanks to the rapid advancement of technology, online learning is a part of many institutions' course offerings around the world. From certificates, PhDs, impactful online language learning and everything in between, learning online has never been so easy!
Where does able get its funding??
The majority of funding for ABLE is derived from the yearly Used Book Sale held in March partnering with the Missouri River Regional Library with additional assistance from United Way. IT'S FREE.
