Do you have to be deaf to go to ASL Academy??
Students attending the ASL Academy do not need to meet any admission or eligibility requirements and do not need to have hearing loss as their primary disability. The ASL Academy is now accepting lottery applications for grades K-12 for the upcoming school year. Spaces are limited. a new day.
What kind of classes do they teach at Albuquerque Academy??
Students interested in dance at the Academy may begin taking classes in grade 8. A variety of dance styles are taught, including classical ballet, modern, and jazz. Outdoor education at Albuquerque Academy includes programming in adventure, environmental, and wilderness education, as well as leadership development.
Does ASL Academy have any connection to British Sign Language??
It has no connection to British Sign Language. ASL Academy is a language school whose programs are designed to bring students all the way to fluency. Our teaching approach builds progressive skills to allow you to reach that goal. We take the shortest route to putting information into your long-term memory.
