What is the AIS ETC??
The AIS European Training Centre (ETC) in Italy is a facility primarily for Australian athletes and replicates the training environment of the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra providing athletes with a European ‘home away from home’.
Where are AIs courses held??
Their flagship training village is located in Newcastle, UK along with three other state-of-the-art training facilities in Aberdeen, Grimsby and Huddersfield. The courses are approved by industry bodies including OPITO, RUK, GWO, BINDT, STCW and IRATA. AIS trains over 17,500 delegates a year who travel from all over the world.

It also covers aerodrome information, including procedures, obstacles, en-route information such as airspace, routes, navaids and waypoints, and general information such as organisation, authority and units. The EAD has been providing AIS services for over 15 years.

The EAD has been providing AIS services for over 15 years. As of January 2021, 55 States worldwide, including 43 ECAC States, are using EAD services as data providers and some 200 are using the services as data users.
