The Occupational Hygiene Association (OHTA) began as an international collaboration amongst dedicated occupational hygienists from several nations who wanted people from around the world to enjoy the benefits of a healthy working environment.
How do I get training in Ohta International Oh training??
SAIOH supports the OHTA International OH Training modules. You can register with any of the Approved Training Providers in South Africa to receive training in OHTA modules. Their details andtraining schedules can be found on the OHTA Website and course materials can be downloaded free of charge and studied in your own time.
Who can take the Bohs/Ohta courses??
The BOHS/OHTA courses are internationally recognised and facilitate students to develop a career in occupational hygiene and related fields. The courses can be taken by people who have responsibilities in Occupational Hygiene and Health & Safety and who wish to develop their expertise.
Why do we promote the training of hygienists??
We also promote an international qualifications framework so that all hygienists are trained to a consistent, high standard, recognized in all participating countries. The International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA) supports OHTA in its training activities. OHTA operates with a few basic ground rules.
