The State Board of Master Electricians issues one category of license, that of Master Electrician. For many counties in the State, the Master Electrician's license is a prerequisite to obtaining the county electrical license. The Board does not investigate complaints; that function is the responsibility of the county or local subpision.
How long is a master electrician's license good for??
A master electrician's license is valid for two years from the date it was issued. Currently, the renewal of master electrician's licensure will expire on a staggered basis. The board automatically mails renewal instructions and applications to licensees approximately 60 days prior to the expiration date of the current license.
