Parent & Student Resources – Pocahontas Middle School

Pocahontas Middle School, located in Three Chopt District, is named for Pocahontas. She was the daughter of the leader of the Powhatan Indians who lived in the Coastal Plain region of Virginia. Pocahontas married the successful tobacco planter, John Rolfe, in 1614. It is thought that they settled at Varina Farms Plantation.
