The Stanford Center for Clinical Research (SCCR) leadership and staff want to help. SCCR has a team of well-trained clinical research staff who are ready and willing to be redeployed to help support your research so you can focus on the science and clinical aspects.
We use state of the art functional magnetic resonance imaging and novel computational tools to study the dynamic brain mechanisms underlying cognitive control in children with ADHD. We hope our study can provide a systems neuroscience framework for future studies of cognitive control in clinical pediatric neuroscience research.
For SIMR students who were accepted for summer 2020 but then deferred until this year, we plan to develop a limited, virtual internship program this spring to then launch in summer 2021. We will provide more details in late January or early February, once the magnitude of the ongoing pandemic is known. simr-program@stanford.edu
Undergraduate summer research at Stanford CVI is supported by the American Heart Association, The National Institutes of Health, and the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute. We will be offering a stipend of $6,000 or $8,000 depending on whether the program is virtual or in-person. Housing is not provided.

The Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program (SIMR) is an eight-week program in which high school students from diverse backgrounds are invited to perform basic research with Stanford faculty, postdoctoral fellows, students and researchers on a medically-oriented project.
