Our History. Named for Emmet Field (1841-1909), a Crescent Hill resident and prominent Jefferson County judge, Emmet Field Elementary School opened on September 15, 1915 with five teachers and 155 students. It was the first one-story school in the city of Louisville and was one of two public schools to serve the Crescent Hill community during
Tully Elementary School opened as a regular elementary school in August of 1986 with grades K, 1, 2, and 3. Fourth grade was added in 1988 and fifth grade was added in 1989. Tully now houses three full-day preschool programs and a before- and after-school Child Enrichment Program (CEP) sponsored by the YMCA.
The W.E.B. DuBois Academy is a new, innovative middle school in Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) opening during the 2018-19 school year. The DuBois Academy’s inaugural class will consist of 157 sixth-grade students, and in subsequent years, it will grow to become a sixth- through eighth-grade school serving 450 students.

Tully Elementary offers a full-time Computer Lab teacher/school technology coordinator. All classes are instructed weekly in the Computer Lab, which offers an online lab of 30 Windows computers. Our program supports the integrated use of technology within each classroom.
Wilder provides students with a safe and caring learning environment. Our 14-acre campus provides students with plenty of room to run, play, and learn.
