Wallington Jr/Sr High School contains students in grades 7-12. A large Eastern European population comprised mainly of families of Polish heritage heavily influences the school. Wallington is a small community, slightly less than one square mile in area, located eight miles from New York City on the banks of the Passaic River. The district has three schools serving over 1,325 students: Jefferson School (K-3), Frank W. Gavlak School (K-6), and Wallington Jr./Sr. High School (7-12).
